Zev Steinberg has been one of my guides to understanding kosher wine, though he rejects the word expert and calls himself a passionate lover of wine. My July column draws on our conversation about kosher Bordeaux and the annual trip he leads through his business, Wine with Zev.
Steinberg describes visiting top châteaux and hearing their winemakers explain both their craft and the nuances of a kosher production, including Olivier Bernard and Rémi Edange at Domaine de Chevalier. His bottom line is one I share: wine is about enjoyment.
