Kosher Bordeaux is widely available today, a few elite châteaux make an annual kosher run, and Domaine Roses Camille has gone so far as to make all of its wines kosher. My November column covers a true first: Château Jupille Carillon, a well regarded Saint-Émilion estate, is now the first fully kosher winery in Bordeaux.
The estate was bought in late 2024 by PRYMAC Wine, part of a consortium of Orthodox Jewish investors in kosher food and hospitality, with an unusual mission: to make world class Bordeaux that is both authentically French and fully kosher. I look at how the venture came together and why it matters for kosher wine lovers.
